Find out our activities
Our activity is based on deep knowledge, we conduct our own scientific research. We are a socially responsible company - we respect the natural environment and the business environment in which we live.
Our portfolio includes ECO packaging, such as FSC cartons, packaging made of renewable or recycled raw materials, such as PCR bottles or recycled paper cartons.
Our cosmetics are designed in accordance with the principles of ECO design. Therefore, we are constantly working with suppliers to implement more and more innovative solutions that improve the ecological profile of our packaging. In 2020, 87% of our packaging was recyclable.
We conduct research on the use of natural and biodegradable raw materials in packaging. We create cosmetics that respond to the needs of consumers – for example, we launch products based on natural ingredients, whose packaging is created also from renewable raw materials. We reduce the grammage and size of cardboard boxes to decrease paper consumption.
By maximizing the share of bio-technological ingredients (which do not cause excessive exploitation of natural resources), ingredients of natural origin (certified, from responsible sources) and vegan ones. All our cosmetics are certified "Cruelty Free" because they have never been and still are not tested on animals.
In order to control energy consumption and gradually reduce it, we have developed and are monitoring the company's energy balance and, among other things, we replaced external lighting of buildings and parking lots with energy-saving solutions. We have also reduced energy consumption for production and maintenance of the compressed air system. This year, we are planning to optimize the operation of air handling units, introduce metering of key electricity receivers and optimize the operation of key energy-intensive receivers in the company.
This motivates us to continue working for responsible development in the entire Dr Irena Eris Group. On the occasion of the World UN Day, we were recognized by the UN Global Compact Network Poland (the Polish office of the Initiative of the Secretary General of the United Nations), as a member of the "Equal Opportunities in Business - Target Gender Equality" initiative for setting ambitious corporate goals promoting women's leadership and gender equality in business. We joined the Global Compact initiative in 2016. The project was established by the then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, and its task is to promote the principles of, among other things, human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. Since 2016, we have been reporting annually on our activities aimed at improving the integration of the Global Compact principles with our business strategy, culture and daily activities.
